The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which is the first European legislation on the cybersecurity of numeric products, aims to protect consumers and businesses that purchase software or hardware products that contain digital elements. The CRA came into force in all EU member states on 11 December 11 2024 and will be mandatory from 11 December 2027.
Semiconductors and trusted chips are concerned by this regulation, hence their compliance with the requirements of the CRA will be demonstrated by the application of a CE marking. Further normative work is underway within the CLC/TC 47X with the intention of mapping the existing standards and developing future European standards on this subject.
Special offer: Come to discover this work on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., during a webinar hosted by the officers of the CLC/TC 47X technical committee.
