Description

Are you excited about Smart Cities? If so, have you ever wondered what role standardization plays in an all-electric society?

In this year's DKE Young Professionals Camp, we will focus on Emerging Technologies and why standards matter for innovation & sustainability. First, we will introduce you to Jo Cops, president of the IEC, who will give a keynote on Emerging Technologies using the example of Smart Cities. In interactive and creative workshops, you will explore what kind of standards already exist and what is currently missing or not yet standardized in the field. The workshop will be rounded off with a creative session, networking opportunities and of course exciting trips and activities around DKE.

Additionally, participants of the DKE Young Professionals Camp, will be introduced to the various activities and programs of the DKE to facilitate the entry into standardization for young standardizers. Some examples are a standardization regulars' table, a mentoring program and the IEC Quest. Members of the Next Generation DKE will explain how they created the current community and what opportunities they have, to build a valuable network with experienced experts that will accompany them throughout their careers.
