Components & Technologies focuses on parts, components and materials that are installed and used in a wide variety of end products. The quality and properties of finished products are decisively influenced by the components and materials used.
Components & Technologies also develops important fundamentals for the successful application of fundamental technologies, especially future technologies such as nanotechnology or battery technology. For example, Components & Technologies is developing test methods for new materials that enable unambiguous material characterization. The activities relate on the one hand to the technology itself and on the other to the associated manufacturing processes.
